Additional Updates

Enterprise Fleet Lease Program

We have been completely integrated into the Enterprise Fleet Maintenance Program for a little over two months. Staff has
experienced a smooth transition. Repair and maintenance work get done quickly and efficiently, rates and costs are
negotiated by Enterprise, and we get a complete and detail report online within 48 hours of the work being done. We are
billed monthly by Enterprise. Additionally, the website gives staff a clear picture of the vehicles we have ordered and their
status. We have four vehicles whose status is "scheduled for production", one "built", two more "shipped", and one "at
the dealer, not ready."

6900 West Lake Drive

The Town won a grant from the Solid Waste Authority (SWA) to demolish the house sitting on the lot at 6900 West Lake
Drive. We will open bids for the demolition on Thursday, January 2nd. The Town Council will be asked to approve the
Agreement with the demolition company recommended by staff and to approve the Grant Agreement with SWA at the
January 7th Town Council Meeting. Staff is hoping demolition will begin within a week of award.

Palm Beach County Days

Again, we are headed to Tallahassee to lobby for our Town's interests. We are working to set meetings with a number of
members of the Appropriations Committee (for our $500,000 special request) and with the House Local Administration
Subcommittee. The Local Administration Subcommittee is the first reference committee for our Annexation Local Bill
(HB753). We believe it will be heard in the Local Administration Subcommittee on Thursday morning. We plan on attending
the Subcommittee meeting to advocate our position. HB753 will also go to the House Ways and Means Committee and
then the House State Affairs Committee. We have friends in each of these Committees and will be attempting to see each
of them and others during these two days in Tallahassee. The State is considering legislation to kill the PACE program.
Since we are a founding member of a statewide PACE District, this is important to us. We will also be attempting to see
Representative Zika who sponsored the "PACE Death Bill". We heard there may be a workshop on this Bill in the first
committee of reference. This would most likely kill the Bill for this Session. We'll continue to monitor this issue and the four
bills filed closely.

RFP for LCS Wastewater Service Area

Staff believes it is in the best interest of the Town to follow the state statute for consultant selection and choose an
engineering team for the septic-to-sewer design project. As such, we are preparing a Request for Proposals (RFP). A
package is being prepared to advertise on Tuesday, January 14th . We are looking for a full-service team that can provide
design services; bid, award, and construction oversight assistance; help with the assessment process; with a rate study
for the new commodity rates. The Town must have an Evaluation Committee and keep the OIG's office fully involved. The
Committee will review the submitted RFP's, shortlist to three teams, hold interviews, negotiate a contract and make a
recommendation to the Town Council. The goal is to have a recommendation for action at the April Town Council Meeting.
