The primary mission of the Lake Clarke Shores Police Department is to protect life and property within the Town's boundaries while maintaining a high quality of life for all residents. As a full-service law enforcement agency, the department is responsible for all criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, and crash investigations—handling both misdemeanors and felonies. These duties are carried out by a team of highly trained and experienced officers with specialized expertise in a wide range of investigative disciplines.
The department is staffed with 10 full-time and 3 part-time sworn law enforcement officers, supported by 2 administrative assistants and 1 code enforcement officer. In addition, 6 reserve/volunteer officers—many of whom are retired from Palm Beach County law enforcement agencies—contribute a wealth of experience and training to the department.
Residents of Lake Clarke Shores benefit from a variety of community-focused services, including home security checks, golf cart inspections, and golf cart registration.
The Police Department also maintains strategic partnerships with surrounding law enforcement agencies, giving it access to a wide array of additional resources when needed. These include Canine Units, Special Response Teams, Helicopters, Drones, Marine Services, Crime Laboratory Services, and other specialized capabilities.
Fire, Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medical Services

Lake Clarke Shores Police Officers are dispatched to every EMS call to provide critical, life-saving care before EMS arrives. All patrol vehicles are equipped with fire suppression tools, AEDs, Narcan, and a range of other life-saving equipment.
During major storm events, the Town coordinates closely with the Palm Beach County Emergency Management Division to ensure a timely and effective response.
