The Pine Tree Lane bridge is currently being upgraded and repaired. The contract called for the job to be completed by the beginning of August, 2025.
August 18th Update: We have provided below the latest timeline for the project. The latest information is the bridge will open Monday, September 1st.
The Bridge is closed to vehicles, pedestrians and boats until the project is completed.
During the closure, there will be no access to Pine Tree Lane from Forest Hill Boulevard. Northbound traffic on Pine Tree Lane will terminate at the south end of the bridge. (Access to nearby homes will not be blocked).
You may access to Pine Tree Lane from the east via Keller Road (17th Ave N). You may access to Pine Tree Lane from the west off Florida Mango Road via Arabian Road W. to Waterway Drive.
The agreement with the bridge contractor calls for the job to be completed in 310 days, or August 6, 2025. After August 6, 2025 the contractor could face fines of $1000 per day until the project is completed.

August 18, 2025 Update: The Town of Lake Clarke Shores estimates the Pine Tree Lane Bridge is expected to reopen on September 1st, pending final approval from State of Florida inspectors. These inspections are the last step before the bridge can officially reopen for public use.
Residents should also be aware of how the project contract addresses potential delays. The agreement includes a provision for a $1,000 per day penalty to the contractor for every day past the agreed-upon completion date. However, this penalty is not automatic. The Town Council will evaluate the reasons behind any delays before deciding whether to pursue it. Factors under review include unexpected challenges during construction, such as the discovery of large amounts of old debris buried under the previous bridge. These unforeseen issues contributed to the timeline.
We appreciate the community’s patience throughout this project and look forward to welcoming residents back to the Pine Tree Lane Bridge soon.
