The Lake Clarke Shores Police Department’s Marine Patrol is staffed by specially trained officers dedicated to ensuring the safety of our waterways. The Patrol promotes safe vessel operation, deters crime, and works closely with surrounding law enforcement agencies to respond to incidents on the water.
Enforcement
The Marine Patrol enforces state laws and Town ordinances on the waterways, including violations such as:
- Improper or missing safety equipment
- Water skiing violations
- Unregistered or expired vessel registrations
- Careless operation of personal watercrafts or vessels
- Failure to observe slow speed/minimum wake zones
Community Support
In addition to enforcement, the Marine Patrol assists the Town’s Code Enforcement Division with violations visible from the water and provides support during community events.
