Using the MGO Portal for Code Enforcement

Create an MGO Account

  1. Go to the MGO Portal
  2. In the top-right corner, click Current Jurisdiction, then select Change Jurisdiction.
  • Choose Florida as the state.
  • Select Lake Clarke Shores from the list.
  • Click Continue.
  1. At the top of the page, click New Account. Read the on-screen instructions, then click Continue.
  2. Complete the form with your login and account information, then click Create Account.
  3. MGO will call the phone number you provided to verify your account. Follow the phone prompts to complete activation.
  4. Once your account is activated, click Login at the top of the page. Enter your username and password, then click Login.

 

Submit a Code Violation Complaint

  1. Go to the MGO Portal
  2. In the top-right corner, click Current Jurisdiction, then select Change Jurisdiction.
  • Choose Florida as the state.
  • Select Lake Clarke Shores from the list.
  • Click Continue.
  1. On the left side of the page, click on Submit a Complaint.
  2. Log in to your MGO account.
  3. Complete the complaint form by entering the address where the code violation exists, then click Next.
  • All fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required and must be completed.
  1. Provide your personal information, including your mailing address and contact details.
  • If you would like to be notified about the status of your complaint, select one or more contact methods by clicking Notify next to your preferred communication option(s).
  • Click Next.
  1. In the text box, describe the possible code violation in detail.
  • Click the boxes for Informational Notice and Public Records Notice, then click Next.
  1. To upload photos (optional), click the blue box to select files or drag and drop images of the violation in the upload area. Click Next.
  2. On the next page, a message will appear stating, “Your application is ready to submit to the jurisdiction.”
  • If you are ready, click Submit.
  • If you are not ready to submit, click the disk icon on the right side of the screen to save your complaint as a draft.
  • You can access your saved complaint from your Dashboard (click Dashboard at the top of the page). Your complaint will appear as a request. To edit or submit it later, click Open.
  1. To edit your complaint, click on the relevant tab and make your changes as needed.
  2. When you are ready to submit, go to the Overview tab and click Submit.
  • A confirmation message will appear indicating that your complaint has been received.

 

Search Code Violations

  1. Go to the MGO Portal
  2. Confirm that the Current Jurisdiction is set for Lake Clarke Shores.
  3. On the left side of the page, click Search Permits.
  4. Log in to your MGO account.
  5. On the left side of the screen, under Jurisdiction, select Florida and Lake Clarke Shores. Under Project Type, select Code Enforcement.
  6. Under the Case tab, choose how you want to search for code violations.
  • You can search by case number, property address, creation date range, case status, name, and other options.
  • Enter your search criteria and click Search.
  1. Your search results will appear below the search fields.
  2. To sort the results, click on any Column Title (for example, to sort by case number or date).
  3. To view more details about specific cases:
  • Select the cases you want by clicking the box to the left of each case number.
  • Click Details, then choose whether to export the information as a PDF document or an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Click Export, and then select Export Selected or Export All.
  1. A detailed report will be created. You can save or print the report for your records.
  2. Returning to the search results, if you are a party to a case, click the three dots next to the case number and select View Project or Add to My Account for easier access later.
