Town Council - Group IV Vacancy

The Town of Lake Clarke Shores Town Council has a Council Vacancy to fill for Group IV. 

From the date of the appointment, the newly appointed Council Member will be filling the vacancy and shall serve until April 14, 2020. 

Please Note: This Group IV seat is up for election, and the appointed Council Member, may become a candidate to qualify in the upcoming election. 

Filling Vacancies in elective office

If there be a vacancy in any elective office, the Town Council, or such part of it as may remain, shall have the power to fill such vacancy by appointment for the unexpired term of the office declared vacant. If there be a vacancy in any elective office, the Town Council, or such part of it as may remain, shall have the power to fill such vacancy by appointment for the unexpired term of the office declared vacant, provided such unexpired term is less than one year.

Qualifications for elective office

No person shall be eligible to any elective office of the Town of Lake Clarke Shores unless he or she is over the age of eighteen (18) years, and a registered voter of the municipality, and a citizen of the United States.
