Important Reminders About Proper Vegetation Disposal

The Town of Lake Clarke Shores would like to remind all residents of the importance of proper vegetative waste disposal. Proper disposal of vegetative waste not only keeps our town looking beautiful, it also ensures that our streets are safe to drive on.

Here are a few quick reminders regarding vegetation disposal:

  1. Vegetation can only be placed in front of your home in the 48 hours prior to pick-up.
  2. Vegetation must be placed in the swale in front of your property at the edge of the street, not in the street or roadway.
  3. Loose vegetative debris such as small leaves, pine needles, and grass clippings should be gathered and placed in trash carts. Large debris should be no greater than 5 ft. in length by 4 in. in diameter or 50 lbs. in weight.
  4. When a landscaper finishes their work at your property, they should be removing all of the waste they’ve generated. This includes tree branches, grass clippings, leaves, palm fronds, etc.

It is important that you follow this guidance in order to avoid a code violation. More information can be found here on our website. We appreciate your commitment to keeping our Town beautiful and safe!
