A Summer Tradition Casts Off Again

-
Annual Fishing Camp

A favorite summertime tradition is making its return to Lake Clarke Shores as Memorial Park once again becomes home to the Town’s annual Fishing Camp later this July.

Designed for kids ages 5 through 13, the weeklong program offers a fun and engaging way for young residents to spend their mornings outdoors while learning new skills.

Participants will be introduced to the basics of fishing, from identifying different types of fish to improving their casting and understanding how to stay safe around the water. Along the way, they’ll also gain a greater appreciation for the environment and the importance of protecting local waterways.

The program wraps up with a lighthearted fishing competition and awards presentation, giving campers a chance to put their new skills to the test and celebrate a week well spent. The camp runs July 27 through July 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with registration set at $155 for residents and $200 for non-residents. Space is limited, so families are encouraged to sign up early.
