Vacation Rental Registration Requirements
Town of Lake Clarke Shores – Ordinance 2023-03


Effective September 12, 2023, the Town of Lake Clarke Shores has adopted Ordinance 2023-03, regulating the operation of vacation rentals. This ordinance is codified under Chapter 125, Division 16 of the Lake Clarke Shores Code of Ordinances. Property owners operating vacation rentals within the Town must comply with the following requirements:

Registration Fees

  • Initial Registration Fee: $450 per rental property
  • Business Tax Payment: $33.08
     

Required Documents

To complete the registration process, property owners must submit the following:

  • Completed Vacation Rental Application
  • Florida DBPR License: Copy of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) license for a transient public lodging establishment/vacation rental
  • Florida Department of Revenue Certificate: Proof of current registration for collecting and remitting applicable taxes
  • Palm Beach County Tax Collector Account: Proof of an account for the payment of tourist development taxes
  • SunBiz Registration: Copy of business registration with SunBiz, including the registered manager(s)
  • Required Postings: Copies of all required postings as mandated by Section VI of the application
  • Exit Map: Drawing indicating all exit signs within the property
  • Sample Lease Agreement

 

Life Safety Inspection
